He's going to obliterate Vargas, that kid has a suspect chin. Got iced in the first round by a journeyman level guy in 2019, got dropped in his two most recent fights.

Higa hits like a truck. This fight is made for him to set up the Tsutsumi trilogy.

I remember when Higa was on top of the world. Dude must've lost his virality to japanese soaplands. Hope he makes it back

He just had two consecutive razor thin title challenges (a draw against Seiya Tsutsumi and a close loss against Yoshiki Takei). He has not fallen off much, he's just fighting excellent competition. That's why he's getting another title shot despite being 0-1-1 in his last two fights.

In all likelihood Higa is going to stop Vargas. Higa's power and timing are still intact and Vargas has a glass jaw. He's going to have to be perfect for 12 rounds to beat Higa.

That loss to Rosales and subsequent suspension completely derailed him. He looked like another big star coming outta Japan at the time. Personally, he's gonna handle Vargas being that Vargas has never been in with a guy at Higa's level and has looked less than impressive against much lesser competition. Don't think Vargas will be able to handle Higa's pressure and power. Should be a good one tho.

Daigo Higa hasn’t explicitly used the phrase win or retire, but after his razor-thin loss to castle app apk Takei and a unanimous draw with Seiya Tsutsumi, he considered hanging up the gloves. Instead, he has doubled down—lobbying for a rematch and approaching his upcoming title shot against Antonio Vargas with renewed determination and urgency
