No I didn’t prove your point. You don’t seem to even have a point.
You asked why Cotto didn’t request his fight with Margarito be changed to an NC and that is such a dumb question that I wasn’t even sure if it was serious. Turns out it was.

Ok. And?
How does that change the fact that you asked a painfully stupid question when asking why Cotto didn’t request a no contest.
Any one with one brain cell knows Cotto can’t request that on the basis of a different fight. Or are you just learning this as we speak?Leave a comment:

You answered my question. You proved my point. I am good now. I respect you for your honestly about Margarito not beating another elite figher the same level as cotto after he got exposed.
We are good fam. I respect you more than DJ.Leave a comment:

Did Margarito? No.
Is there a point here?Last edited by IronDanHamza; 07-29-2025, 03:33 PM.Leave a comment:

We can make the assumption that he cheated in the Cotto fight but we will never know as a matter of fact and all it will ever be is an assumption.
Which is why Cotto can’t ask to change it to a no contest. The fact you didn’t even know that is worrying.Leave a comment:

not trying to jump into this debate but you asked so i provided --
In 2006, Floyd Mayweather Jr. declined an $8 million offer to fight Antonio Margarito. Instead of taking the fight, he bought out his contract with promoter Bob Arum's Top Rank for $750,000 and became a promotional free agent, according to ESPN and Yahoo Sports. Mayweather's adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, cited a hand injury from his previous fight against Zab Judah as the reason for turning down the Margarito fight, according to the Chicago Tribune
Later on, Arum was very quick to take a shot at his former fighter, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Arum is still on Mayweather's case for turning down a fight with Margarito back in 2006. He offered him $8 million dollars for the fight, but Mayweather turned it down and instead took a fight with Carlos Baldomir.

See, I can have an actual conversation with you because of how your response wasn’t out of some toxic hate.
Floyd bought out his contract from Bob for a reason. Bob is a grifter and a scumbag.
When Floyd wanted to fight Oscar, Bob said the most he could give Floyd was $8 million. Floyd went solo and made $25 million.
Oscar is a much bigger name than Margacheato and yet somehow Bob and @djtmaal want us to believe that $8 million was the ceiling he could pay Floyd. That’s just nonsense talk.
It’s the same exact reason Cotto didn’t fight Floyd in 2008 while under Top Rank. As soon as he left Bob, he fought Floyd and made twice what Bob was going to pay him.
Lastly, hindsight being 20/20, it was a good thing that Floyd didn’t fight that low life piece of sheet.

So what you are saying is that Naazim Richardson was a liar and Margacheato being banned for 12 months was an injustice and unfair and whatever watched on camera was just normal stuff?
