Later on, Arum was very quick to take a shot at his former fighter, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Arum is still on Mayweather's case for turning down a fight with Margarito back in 2006. He offered him $8 million dollars for the fight, but Mayweather turned it down and instead took a fight with Carlos Baldomir.

Floyd bought out his contract from Bob for a reason. Bob is a grifter and a scumbag.
When Floyd wanted to fight Oscar, Bob said the most he could give Floyd was $8 million. Floyd went solo and made $25 million.

Oscar is a much bigger name than Margacheato and yet somehow Bob and @djtmaal want us to believe that $8 million was the ceiling he could pay Floyd. That’s just nonsense talk.

It’s the same exact reason Cotto didn’t fight Floyd in 2008 while under Top Rank. As soon as he left Bob, he fought Floyd and made twice what Bob was going to pay him.

Lastly, hindsight being 20/20, it was a good thing that Floyd didn’t fight that low life piece of sheet.

Although there was no proof of Maragarito cheating vs Cotto in the first fight, I do remember wondering how he was busting up Miguel's face so badly. Cotto himself look bewildered at Antonio's "power".
