Comments Thread For: When Antonio Margarito rocked Miguel Cotto

Richardson literally said himself that Margarito got caught cause the plaster fell from his hand wraps as they were putting it on in the back before their fight you fvkcing idiot. Man you are a fvkcing idiot and it definitely explains alotLeave a comment:

I tend to agree it seems very likely Margarito was loaded for the first Cotto fight but absent a confession we will never know.
I remember seeing Cotto's face swollen as never seen before when he took the knee vs Margarito and thought, damn, nobody bust Cotto's face up like that. Then Cotto faced Pacquiao and although Cotto was busted badly, his face did not swell in the same manner. Then the Margarito results come out vs Mosley and you look back at how Cotto's face swelled up and you can kind of put the two together. It wasn't just swelling from the usual punches a fighter takes but with a foreign assist.
You can look up the Bill Collins Jr. or whatever his name was whose face got swollen up from Luis Resto. There are some similarities in how their faces ended up following their bouts vs loaded gloves.Leave a comment:

Wow, I'm going to have to break it down? Ok, while there was proof of Margarito's intent to cheat for the Mosely fight, he hadn't been caught for the Cotto fight. HOWEVER, the tremendous damage that Antonio inflicted on Miguel's face and his look of bewilderment at Margarito's unusual "power", lends itself to suspect loaded wraps were used for that fight too. I hope that clears things up.

But you asked why Cotto hasn’t requested his fight with Margarito be changed to a no contest.
That’s a stupid question.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 07-30-2025, 01:06 PM.Leave a comment:

Because Garcia tested positive for that fight, that’s why.
No one of his fights prior to that were overturned and couldn’t be. Same as Cotto and Margarito.Leave a comment:

You really had to resort to lying. How pathetic.
The evidence is literally dated February 9, 2009. About 2 weeks after the Mosley fight.
You're a loser. Straight up.Last edited by Gary Coleman; 07-30-2025, 12:54 PM.Leave a comment:

Finally. Thats basically what I said. Its basically a voided record and thats what other leagues do. And thats why Margarito never beaten another elite figher after cotto. An asterisk near a win is basically a No contest at that point.Leave a comment:

My apologies man! I was so fixated on the “there was no proof of Margarito’s intent to cheat” line that I just didn’t see you were referring to the Cotto fight.
You are correct. We are all working on the assumption of once a cheat, always a cheat philosophy.
See, it’s not just the cheating part but the way Margacheato mocked Freddie Roach’s Parkinson’s condition makes him a de****able human piece of trash so I just choose to believe that he’s always been a cheat.

You obviously didn’t know because that’s why you asked that stupid question.
