If you want to call it what it is, it was a one sided ass whooping Margarito caught in the rematch and that false narrative that it looked like the first, isn’t accurate. Margarito barely won a single round against Cotto, and matter of fact, he barely won a single round in his fights after getting caught against Mosley, pac or Cotto. The guy never had another significant win, never stopped anyone ever again ,and nobody other than a moron was calling for a trilogy. Cotto went on to become lineal at mw and Margarito went down as a Mexican disgrace.Last edited by Robi13; 07-27-2025, 11:32 PM.Comment

It’s all speculation, it seemed to me margarrito was about to stop cotto in that rematch again… like I said, it was stopped but not because of cotto. If you feel otherwise cool, I saw what I saw… and it has nothing to do with what they went on to do after that. Speaking specifically about the rematch, cotto was about to get stopped again, is what it seemed and felt like. You’re lying to yourself if you saw it otherwise… oh and cotto was winning every round of the first one too! And what happened? Cmon bro, as a man and competitor, cotto should have demanded that third! Straight up! But he didn’t and only he knows why
In the second fight he lost 1 round of the first 9 rounds on all 3 of the judges cards.
So, not the same, at all. Even the first 6 rounds of the first fight to which Cotto won all 6 he was still uncomfortable in some of those rounds unlike the second fight where he didn’t start looking uncomfortable until the 8th.
The two fights were not the same, at all.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 07-27-2025, 11:39 PM.Comment

When has Cotto suffered that type of beating ?
Why couldn't that beating be replicated ?
Pac fought the WORST VERSIONS of both.Comment

I get the whole plaster thing. However. In cotto marg 2, it looked and felt just like the first fight. Margarito was starting to get momentum in that second fight in the later third of the fight just like he did in the first one and he was stopped but not by cotto. They should of had the trilogy and settled the tie in the ring, considering cotto was the A side, it seems like the trilogy didn’t happen because he didn’t want it to. I’m not saying Margarito would have won the rematch or the trilogy, but let’s call it what it is.
Why give a fïlthy scumbag cheat a payday? Margarito cheated and He got beat in the rematch. Period.Comment

No proof? He was caught on camera and we all saw it. He was then suspended for a year but according to you, There was no illegal wraps?
He was then destroyed by Mosley. A total destruction.
You bringing in Manny to a thread no one mentioned him because he is your idol.
But but but …. Manny beat Cotto at a catchweight of 145. That is a fact.
He then beats Margacheato at a catchweight of 150 for a vacant 154 Ibs title. Another fact.
Those are the fights you are celebrating. Dubious catchweights for dubious titles.
