100%...the best are FORCED to fight the best early because they all fight under the same organisation and losses don't mean anything. Also, being a multi-weight world champion actually means something as there's fewer weight classes (as does being a champion).
I for one would be delighted if Dana & Turki manage to replicate the UFC model for boxing.Comment

this is ******, they should make a Law to eliminate greedy Promoters, corrupt judges, better refs, reliable Compubox... and most importantly, force boxers to Step-up and put in work instead running, holding, lack of action & have Promoters protect them.... thats what's killing boxing... no more Mayweather type of fighters like ShakurComment

LOL. I'm capitalist to the max! Let fighters make the most the market will bear! I guess you think they should fight for free? Or that some non-fighter should get the lion's share?Comment

You are correct, ''world champion'' means nothing, which is why i dont put any stock in it. I enjoy the sport of boxing and I dont care what organiztion calls what person "champion". I can see with my own eyes who I think the better fighter is.
Not at all...having 4 champions per weight class (in addition to regular & interim champions) diminishes the meaning of the word 'champion' (just like YouTubers, influencers, reality TV stars etc have diminished the meaning of the word 'celebrity'). Also, in virtually ALL other sports there is only ONE champion e.g. MMA, Tennis, Golf, F1, Snooker etc so why should Boxing be any different?Comment

Yeah but wouldn't it be nice to OFFICIALLY know who the #1 fighter is in each weight class (instead of having 4+ supposed champions)? The UFC model captures this perfectly and boxing used to only have one champion per division too back in the day. Therefore, if anybody should be accused of being greedy and monetising the sport it's the various alphabet organisations along with their sanctioning fees.Comment
