Comments Thread For: Xander Zayas still keen on a Sebastian Fundora showdown?

No longer an empty-handed challenger, Xander Zayas hopes to present Sebastian Fundora with the chance to reclaim his old belt in a matchup that almost makes too much sense.

My money is on Fundora. I don’t think Xayas has enough seasoning just yet. Not to say he should just make mandatory defenses though. By all means make the fight. You win some you lose some.

Be careful what you wish for. Zayas not ready for Fundora, yet. He takes lots of shots and this will be a problem with someone that has power.

They both just fought so they are on the same schedule. A unification fight in December lines up perfectly.

Will Al Gaymon allow it, though?

Fundora is the ONLY champion I give him a shot at beating (although I still expect him to lose). No way he gets past Murtaz or Crawford.

I think Xander is a great kid with potential, but I think hes barking up the wrong tree (literally) with a match against Fundora. The Fundora we recently seen, would blow him out.
