Were all able to during their time

Amanda Serrano now , biggest issue w/ Shields is the insufferable amount of sheeit she talks . She was challenging Keith Thurman and you can't KO the mismatches that you are given ? when you are throwing nothing but power punches .

Shields just keep winning no matter who is put in front of her. Whether that be Savannah Marshall or anybody else.
This is the first level headed post in this thread and thank God for it.

I’m not going to sit here and pretend her fights are must-watch TV, but she’s beating every single fighter and threat available to her and beating them easily.

So what she can’t crack an egg? Power is God given, she has strengths in other areas.

She stands in the pocket, doesn’t coast, and talks trash to rile people up. I’m all for it.

LOL at all the people calling her fugly. What the eff does that matter? Two back to back gold medals, three weight undisputed and still undefeated…to this day.

Her problem (no fault of her own) is that there isn’t anyone remotely as skilled as her and because of that, she’s become as a sort of Flint strictly/Caesar’s Arena attraction.

Her only options right now to capitalize on the women’s boxing movement and the MVP spearhead would be to either fight Shadasia Green to match up with her or for Alycia to jump all the way to 154 and maaaaaaaaaaaybe Shields try to go to 154 if she slices off one of her ass cheeks. I also have a hard time thinking she’d be willing to fight on a card UNDER Jake Paul (where HE’S the main event). Her pride might be a hinderance there but I totally understand where she’s coming from.

Having said all that, I think she’s all that and a bag of chips and it entertains me to no end all the armchair/potentially beergut internet tough guys ragging on her for WINNING.

Knockouts against world title winning opponents

        Amanda Serrano: 1
        Claressa Shields: 2

Serrano's record against world title winners: 9-4 in 52 fights
Shields' record against world title winners: 13-0 in 17 fights

Serrano is a great fighter but she's a massive cherry picker too. The majority of her fights were against insanely overmatched and handpicked opponents. People complain about Shields' opponents, but she literally fights the best fighters available to her. There just aren't enough of them. Serrano spent most of her career looking to win vacant belts against walkover opposition and then vacating them herself without ever defending them.

Record of Shields opponents at the time of the fight: 206-22-6
Ali: 186-59-10 (141-55-8 minus the one fight against Martin)
Martin: 315-127-41 (72 of the wins were 2 fights with Mia St John and Martin fought 26 fighters who were either debuting or .500 or worse)
          Wolfe: 184-108-21

The level of competition now is orders of magnitude better than when Martin, Wolfe, or Ali were fighting and Shields has fought the same amount of champions in 17 fights as Serrano has in 52.

The fact of the matter is the only two women in the history of the sport with legitimate resumes that stack up to Claressa's are Katie Taylor and Cecilia Braekhus. Those are the three greatest female boxers in the history of the sport and it isn't even remotely close.

She does get a little full of herself. Thinking she could beat Keith Thurman was delusional on her part.

Still, she has a legitimate claim to being the GWOAT. All she does is win and her career isn’t even close to finished. By the time she’s done who knows what her resume is going to look like. It’s already impressive.

                Total: 86-55-12

                Get a grip on reality.

                Compare that to Cecilia Braekhus:
                539-164-21

Braekhus had more fights against world title winners than Rijker had total fights.

She knew she couldn't beat Thurman, she was just making noise to get attention. Literally all boxers do that.
