You need to pay me $1000 to watch Classlessa Shields. Poor Salita, she is an impossible sell. The women's boxing fad is over. Nobody likes to see women fight, just not built for it.

If some woman can win a couple fights in a row she would be a top 5 HW even if her wins were against baristas and bitter single moms.

I give zero ***s about claressa shields

actually im pretty sure she has said some ****** **** to annoy me in the past, like being able to beat male boxers or something, wasnt she the one that bragged about pulling a knife on a sparring partner?

think she also just called out laila ali who is 47 years old and retires ages ago, what is even the point of that.

wish she would just go away

I know the higher divisions of women's boxing aren't that deep, but that's still absurdly impressive. She has completely cleaned out the 5 heaviest divisions in the sport (there is no women's cruiserweight or bridgerweight).
It's not absurdly impressive though. It's not even impressive. The level of competition in women's boxing is poor even in the most populated divisions, let alone the ones that barely even exist. It's a superficial accomplishment, looks good on paper but means nothing.

It reminds me of when Nobuhiro Ishida jumped up to heavyweight and tried to win a Japanese title, but not as impressive because he was facing actual professional fighters.

In her last fight Shields won the inaugural WBA heavyweight title. These sanctioning bodies must be laughing all the way to the bank and sending her free pizza coupons.

I live in NZ where Lani Daniels is from and nobody here has ever heard of her

And that's saying something for a tiny company with a small population to have a female world champion and nobody even knows

I doubt there will ever be a deep division in womens boxing, most women just don't have the natural disposition to even want to be a combat sports athlete lesbians with high testosterone being the exception.
