Lubin has been tested by better than Culcay. I think better than Murtz.

murtazaliev was jermell's mandatory for 4 years! that's the one guy that clearly didn't want to fight him. there are reasons to avoid the fight and i am not saying jermell or anybody is scared. the fact is that jermell avoided murtazaliev and nobody is "trippin". that's why after 4,5 years of waiting he accepted to fight and train during ramadan. he was so frustrated. and if you think it's nothing... a lot of fighters are walking corpses at the weigh in but they use the next day to recuperate. it's not fun when you don't eat and drink on a fight day. that's why i give him a pass for culcay fight (i wrote that immediately after the fight).

and for the record, i don't claim bakhram is some unbeatable monster because nobody is. not one person in the world is something special for me. so i don't anoint boxers either.

Bakhram-Lubin is a solid matchup indeed ,a classic Usa vs Russia ,got to say Lubin comes as the seasoned top contender but lets be honest here,he's chin cracked already and Murta is both a puncher and finisher, I can def see him stopping Lubin in a back n forth fun scrap.

I'm glad you mentioned that Jermell wasn't scared. Agreed. I think it's rare for a boxer to be scared of another boxer. There's definitely always a risk-reward assessment. Money is usually the biggest factor. Then more high profile fights (unifications, bigger names and what-not). And, sure, if there's a path of less resistance that often makes sense to take as well. But you know Murtazaliev took step aside money on more than one occasion, right? He didn't have to do that.

And I agree that training during Ramadan made it so Bakhram wasn't at his best, but in my opinion he doesn't have the skill set of an elite fighter.

So, I'll stand by my statement of "y'all are trippin'" if you think that top fighters are afraid to fight Murtazaliev. You might not be in that category, but many on this thread are.

He is not the bogey man of the division, he was the high risk low reward type of fighter and now that he has a title he can get a few fights.

It’s amazing what one fight can do to a boxer’s career. In this case the complete opposite for Murtazaliev. Once Apon a time fighter’s would be calling out Murtazaliev to challenge themselves. This is the problem with boxing today. Who wouldn’t love see to Murtazaliev fight again. Maybe Tzsyu was just perfect for Murtazaliev . No guarantee that will happen Again who knows but l want to see for myself.

Well said. In fact, you said it better in one sentence than I managed to do in multiple paragraphs.

Bright Idea: Move up to 160 where Alimkhanuly, Lara and Adames are looking for opponents

He has the frame for 160. 160 is a ghost town, aside from the champs. Interesting that he's never even hinted at moving up.
