No, but you can win rounds by out landing your opponent, landing the more meaningful shots and hurting your opponent. Froch looked silly half the night. Coming in throwing meaningless shots that didn't land and getting hit with clean counters that had ten times the snap.

Credit to Froch, he's as gritty as they come. But think about it. If Froch did so well and won the fight convincingly, why did he escape with a split decision in his own home town?

I didn't think he did that well. But he won on the account of being the "cleaner" fighter. Dirrell was fighting dirty all night.

How? Froch was being just as dirty.

And how do you win simply by being the cleaner fighter? If I out land you and land the more meaningful shots, but I hold a bit and complain to the ref about rabbit punches, does that mean I'm not winning? The last time I checked, being the cleaner fighter is not one of the scoring categories anyway.

Dirrell lost this fight more than Froch won it. And no, Froch didn't fight a 'clean' fight at all, this guy makes Elmer Fudd look like an amateur, with all the rabbit punches he threw. I was shocked when they penalized Dirrell and didn't do the same to Froch. Look at the sequence when Dirrell buzzed Froch - he backpedaled to the ropes, put up a high guard, then proceeded to hold Dirrell down while he threw 3 punches to the back of his head. He wasn't even trying to shield it from the ref - he just blatantly threw 3 rabbit punches and the fight continued as if that were normal in a boxing match.

What would YOU do, if your opponent kept hugging you and ducking low? It was natural of Froch to throw rabbit punches. Those who fight like Dirrell did are asking for it.

I'm not making it up, foward to 2:00 and froch nails him with a massive left hook which hurt him badly and you could see him hugging froch for dear life.

So you admit to him throwing rabbit punches.

Let's get this straight too, Froch threw rabbit punches and fought dirty on the inside because he was frustrated with Dirrell's speed and the fact that he wasn't sitting there waiting to get hit. Froch was flustered and frustrated all night and did everything he could to gain an advantage, I can't blame him, he got the win.

Sorry, it's not letting me watch the video right now. If I watch it later and confirm that he was hurt badly, I'll give you green k.

Sure, if you prefer believing that rather than it was because Froch was making problems for Dirrell with his aggressiveness...I won't stop you.

What good is aggressiveness if you're not landing? Froch was whiffing on most of his shots, and yeah Dirrell was uncomfortable at times but Froch was more uncomfortable. Overall it was a sloppy and sometimes dirty fight where no man won convincingly. That's why I said Froch can have his decision, but it won't do him any good the next time.
