The sons of Foreman and Tyson dabbled with the idea and quickly learned it was a hopeless idea. The most amazing of all was how close Marvis Frazier came to winning the title. He actually earned the shot vs Holmes. His only two losses were to two of the all time greatest hwts ever, both in their prime (Tyson and Holmes). Who know, Tyson pre Berbick may have been his prime considering how prematurely he reached greatness.

He has ZERO "it" factor.
Ali grandson should have taken the fake boxing route like those two Paul brothers.

What sucks is he won 3 straight fights after the Holmes fight and then stopped fighting. No shame in losing to those two greats. But maybe there was good things awaiting him had he had a few more fights. I liked him a lot.

He's from a family of real fighters. Muhammad, Rahman, Ibn, and Laila Ali were all pro boxers. Nico's brother is an MMA fighter and one of their uncles is a former pro MMA fighter, and their grandmother is a 9th degree black belt in karate.

Nico may not be very good but he takes the sport seriously and cares about it. He's making an honest go of it. He won't get much farther than he already has, but it's still admirable to make the attempt.

He wasn't a heavyweight, but Cory Spinks winning the undisputed welterweight championship like his father at heavyweight and his uncle at light heavyweight was an incredible achievement. Easily the most successful boxing family of all time.

This guy sucks. He's got a father. His name is not Ali. He's just trying to leverage the name of his draft dodging grandfather who illegally used the ropes in fights.

                I don't watch ESPN anyway...

Very underrated historic achievement. I believe they are the only father/son duo to win world titles. Floyd Patterson/Tracy Harris Patterson did it too but Tracy was adopted, still incredible and maybe even more astounding because boxing genetics did not factor into it.

His legal name is Nico Ali Walsh. His brother's legal name is Biaggio Ali Walsh. Of all the things you could criticize Nico for, being mad he's telling people his actual name is pretty silly.

Marvis was an excellent fighter. He ran into Holmes at his absolute best. And IMO, which is unpopular, I believed the best of Holmes was actually better than Ali's best. Better jab, used to beat Ali in sparring in Deer Lake years before he was champ.

Holmes implies he beat Ali in sparring. But too much class to outright say it. This is a great interview with LH https://ringobserver.com/scoop-malin...-larry-holmes/
