WAR Zayas !!! kid is humble and has worked hard. Thought he had kind of plateaued, but his last couple of fights he has shown improvement and is putting it all together going into this world title fight .

I don't think NYC can take another loss by a Puerto Rican fighter in NYC! That would be just too much, too soon! Salute to Subriel Matias!

He will get exposed once he steps up to harder challenges. He will win this belt though.

I don’t think they were too emotionally invested in Berlanga. Now when Trinidad or Cotto would lose at msg, it would be like a funeral. Especially the Hopkins loss. But Berlanga , nahhh

Xander has shown improvement, he was too repetitive before and now he varies what he does. His downfall is going to be the lack of power. He lands very cleanly and sometimes in combination but you can see there is a deficit of power.

Xander has the goods for sure, Does the power improve? I think he definitely has time and he is only 22 and has been improving each fight.

The issue with Zayas won't be his power or lack there of. He has enough of a snap to keep fighters honest. The real issue will be how how reacts when hurt and is in a fight of attrition.

We may see this Saturday how that goes. If he actually beats Garcia without much of an effort, I will say he is ready to face the big guns.
