Comparing Usyk to Ali is laughable.

I still think he has a better overall resume than Usyk, but it's pretty well accepted that Ali got 5 or 6 scorecard gifts in his day. Poor Jimmy Young.
    Why?

I thought he lost two of the three but it’s irrelevant because officially he won.

Considering the guy lost 3 and a half years of his prime, I don’t think him getting the nod in a close fight is really that egregious, do you?

Those two facts are completely unrelated. You don't give him the edge in a close fight just because he got screwed by the US government. That's utter nonsense.

He didn't win enough rounds in any of the Norton fights. Period, point blank. You judge fights with your eyes and your head, not your heart.

It's like giving Gervonta Davis credit for a draw against Roach when every single person on earth knows Roach won that fight. Shameful to pretend otherwise.

Whether you think he won the fight or not does not erase it from his resume. Why wouldn’t you list it?

He did though. Period, point blank. In the eyes of the people who’s opinions actually matter.

I wouldn't be certain famicommander has actually scored those fights anyway. He used the vague term "pretty well accepted" earlier, suggesting he's outsourced his opinion to some Ali detractors he's found on the internet.

He’s always so desperate for an argument. He really needs a social life that extends beyond his keyboard.

Yes, because robberies never happen right? Come on man. We all saw what happened in the ring. You can admit he got gifts and still make a good case for him as the GOAT.

Ali had at least 5, arguably 6, pure reputation wins. Just like Canelo in the first two GGG fights. He beat him fairly in the third fight but anyone trying to use the first two GGG fights to build up Canelo's legacy is absolutely kidding themselves and only hurting their argument.

Yeah, plus he's revealed himself as a tedious conspiracist. Might put him on the ignore list, definitely the kind of miserable person I could do without in my life.

To digress slightly, why do you think the online boxing community is so dominated by unhappy men who seem to hate boxing?

I’m a massive GGG fan, was salty as f*** sat in the arena after fights 1 and 2. But that doesn’t matter, Canelo is 2-0-1 against GGG. We can’t just erase that from his resume because we disagree with the decision.

I don’t think any Norton-Ali fight was a robbery either. Fight 1 could have went either way too IMO. I thought Norton won fight 3 too but it was close.

Yes, we can and should erase the first two GGG fights from Canelo's resume. There is absolutely no argument that Canelo won more than 5 rounds in either fight and it's a joke to just accept the BS that we're fed by the powers that be in the sport.

You can acknowledge the official outcome but to try to use the fights to argue in Canelo's favor just makes you look like you didn't watch the fights. It would be like a Lamont Peterson fan bragging about the Khan fight. Just sad.
