Usyk is Great but all his wins are against UK Heavyweights. Usyk is reigning in the weakest era with zero American Heavyweights

        American Heavyweights

Wilder their best champ - 10 defences and then got beat up by a UK heavyweight twice

Anderson - got beat up by a slow overweight over rated Bakole

        Charles Martin - no comment.

        Who else US got?

No one. America has sports that big men play that give then university degrees and guarantee millions of dollars annually for 9 figure contracts and then more from endorsements. Trying to shame the USA for not having heavyweights other than those who get injured and switch to boxing isn’t the flex you think it is. Reality is far more interesting

The initial posts was trying to downplay Usyk achievement because he has not beat a good US heavyweight when the point is irrelevant when there are 0. US boxing fans have big egos then it gets hurt when their US fighters get beat up

The reason there are zero American heavyweights is because they all have been beaten by foreigners, case in point Deontay Wilder.

The era is definitely one of the weakest era’s in the history of the sport. Usyk will go down as the greatest of this era and will no doubtedly make the hall of fame but we will never know how good he is due to there being no one close to his skill level. We would know much more about him had he come along in the 90s….
