In Tim's defense, he absolutely whipped Mendoza after Mendoza obliterated Fundora. I am not a Fundora fan at all but he did fight alot smarter and used that ridiculous reach and height advantage to their full extent. Fundora has been shoddy in terms of skills and intelligence previously. If he continues to fight as he didnlast night he will he very hard for any normal sized 154 guy to beat.

Tim is a mentally strong kid. That said his luck getting cut in the first Fundora fight, and then the s t u p i d i t y of fighting Murt like he was an easy KO, then running it back with a Fundora who finally started fighting smart with that insane reach and size...I believe he quit last night because he mentally has just had enough.

He isn't a face first fighter and he has beaten some really good guys. It's like the boxing gods just took a huge dump on him over the last year or two. He may retire. Put him in against a normal sized 154 opponent last night and he very well may have won. Fundora is all wrong for anyone in the division when he fights smart. His physical advantages make me hate him honestly. I don't blame him for making a living. Kind of like when Phelps was swimming and was built like a freakish human swimming science experiment.

But whatever. Tim quit. I don't blame him and won't blame him if he retires.

Anyone can clearly see that the Tim that beat Mendoza is long gone. The first fight with Fundora is where he lost his soul and Murt made sure that it never returned. Tim is going to be considered a Chavez jr type of fighter fighting off of name recognition for up and coming fighters in Australia. Its sad and his trainer is at full fault for letting him keep fighting in the first Fundora fight with that massive cut. His handler is also a fault for putting him in with Murt after going life and death with Fundora literally with all the blood pooring out.

Nah Tim Tszyu is nothing like Chavez Jr. The only thing they have in common is they are both sins of legends. Tszyu is a good ambassador for the sport. He put in work.

A big factor not really being mentioned is that Fundora took Tim’s best shots and barely budged. I think when Tim finished on the ropes at the end of the 7th after having landed a couple of huge hooks clean on Fundora’s jaw, he figured there was nothing else he could do. The feeling of knowing your opponent can hurt you but you can’t hurt him is massively demoralising, and outpointing Fundora wasn’t an option

Zayas is not beating this version of Fondura. Heck he may not even get past Jorge Perez who put in an impressive performance against Charles Conwell.

I didn’t think so going into the fight, but I gotta admit, he’s pretty legit.

Tim has always been an accumulation KO type of boxer, and it's not like he seriously hurt Fundora in the first bout, so what you mention shouldn't have been news to him.

He just doesn't have it in him anymore, she that's why he quit.

Not they didnt dude. It was on Kayo Freebies and Fox Sports 506. One of the few No Limit free cards and i am not a fan of that promotion company at all.
