This fight was always about the business but you treated it like the sport.
You felt he looked better than this before and it felt like he tried to lose and accidentally had a draw.
I figured this was the case when the fight was signed, which is why I picked Manny to win. I’m surprised a guy like you didn’t see it the same way.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist. But...
I genuinely think we witnessed a WWE style kayfabe fight. A pre determined outcome that the fighters deliberately fought to. It seemed weird the whole way through - maybe even a bit too good if a story to be believed. Pac starts making people hope he can do the improbable and Barrios wins the last few rounds to tie up the fight. Barrios' inactivity seemed strange unless you see it for what it might have been.
Even right down to the trainer saying "show him no respect, don't touch gloves with him" before every round - including before the 12th when he was obviously going to touch gloves at least and actually hugged him. How would a trainer react to being consistently ignored by his fighter? But Barrios looks like he was being respectful to Pac so it's all ok.
It just seemed like theatre. Then you overlay PBC needing an event and maybe a follow up. Amazon getting what Netflix didn't quite get due to Tyson's age.
It looks dodgy as hell to me.

Sounds to me like a 46 year old legend faded in the last three rounds. Not really much mystery there. Barrios is just a mediocre belt holder.
There's far too little guarantee of subscriber upswing to risk having such an easily leakable conspiracy destroy everyone involved.

How much did Pac get paid? How much did Barrios get? That's enough reason isn't it? And Barrios keeps his belt while Pacquiao enhances his reputation.
You don't even really need to properly fix it. You just need to be clear on what a good outcome would be. Fighters can actually fight to that outcome.
You would have to agree that was an unusual fight?

So your entire premise is faulty. Never mind the more tenuous aspects of fighting to a 'good outcome' that hasn't been 'properly fixed'.
You're doing that thing most conspiracists do: hedging on the details rather than concede lack of feasibility. Which I find disappointing from you.
