Yeah but I didn't expect Barrios to disrespect Pacquiao like that. But it has added another layer of intrigue to the fight because now I feel like Barrios may be serious and may look to finish Pacquiao. This may not be the semi-respectful affair I expected in the ring. I think we've got a fight in our hands.Comment

Please keep in mind that Pacquiao has consistently fought top 10 welterweights in the latter part of his career. Sure, you can criticize him for getting a world title shot at 46 after 4 years of inactivity, but to be overly critical of who he is fighting is nonsense. Barrios can be the weaker of the 147 champions but he's world class, a world champion, and 30 years old. He's in his best years. Pacquiao is coming off a 4 year layoff, 46 years old, and decided to face a world champion. That deserves praise. But some people would rather bash on a real fighter while complaining about how youtube stars are taking over.Comment

“… I feel like Barrios may be serious and may look to finish Pacquiao“
based on this statement, you think Barrios wasn’t serious before but NOW he is? What exactly do fighters do in the ring? Tickle each other?

Barrios has consistently stated that he grew up watching Pacquiao and expressed how awe struck he was that Manny Pacquiao knew his name. These statements made me think Barrios would come to fight but would hold back due to the respect and admiration he has for Pacquiao. But when he said his favorite Manny moment was seeing Marquez knock him out, those feelings disappeared. I think he's coming in to finish Manny rather than respecting the legend like Munguia did against Canelo.Comment
