Comments Thread For: Mario Barrios respects Manny Pacquiao but expects to beat him

?He has had so many victories over so many Mexican fighters,? says Mario Barrios. ?And now, I get to be a part of that, but on the other side.?

This was disrespectful. There's a chance that Barrios was just being honest but man, situational awareness. How are you going to say this when Manny Pacquiao is literally in the same room? 9/10 chance this was intentional and I can't wait for Pac-Man to spark this dude.

Right. And if he had gotten down on his knees and praised Manny to the high heavens, would you have rooted for Barrios?
Point is, you are rooting for your guy no matter what.

It's such a weird situation in that nobody can really predict how Pacquiao is going to perform. Sure, he seems in great shape and rejuvenated by the layoff, but it cannot be downplayed that he retired on a loss and an abysmal performance over four years ago. To a guy that Barrios decisively beat, no less.

Yeah but the fight prior he battered thurman and thurman beat Ugas

Triangle theories in boxing never work out the way you'd think

He is fighting 47 old inactive fighter. Barrios is expected to win easily.

Everyone knows Barrios is supposed to demolish Pacquiao, but knowing Pacquiao’s track record, he might just throw some cash at Barrios to fake another chapter in his fraud legacy.
