Crowder has fought nothing but nobodies. Ranked #34 by BoxRec, which is about right. Hate these guys that pad their records against bums, then start talking about fighting for belts. Pay your dues and fight some real competition first.

He's gonna have to fight some ranked bodies within the rankings to get his name on other organizations first, or at the least fight some borderline ranked Japanese guys to show face in the Far East somewhere to be even on the radar, or maybe at the least be a sparring partner or something to sell his name. Currently he's only ranked in the WBO (number 13) and really has zero name value and nothing to make a storyline of any sort, so unless he can get all the way to mandatory level he isn't gonna be gifted a title chance IMO.

Granted right now 118 belts are mostly occupied for the rest of the year (and possibly more) so it may not be that soon. Nakatani is likely vacating his WBC and IBF sometime in the next month and moving up to 122 in preparation for the Inoue fight. Japanese boxing rumors all but have the IBF top two (Jose Salas and Takuma Inoue) fighting for the vacant belt this October. Same rumor also has WBC number 1 Tenshin Nasukawa fighting Estrada (number 2) or someone else if Estrada doesn't materialize for the vacant WBC belt in November. Takei already has a fight with his mandatory Christian Medina on the Inoue undercard in September, and if he wins it basically everything is pointing to an unification showdown with Tenshin from a rivalry stemming from his kickboxing era. Vargas has a fight with Higa on July that I think he'll lose, but even if he wins he's obligated to fight the champion in recess Tsutsumi afterwards.

      So overall...
WBC: Vacant fight in November, if Nasukawa wins likely followed by an unification with WBO next spring~early summer 2026.
WBA: Vargas-Higa in July, and the winner fights Tsutsumi in fall/winter.
      IBF: Vacant fight in October.
WBO: Mandatory defense in September, if Takei wins likely followed by an unification with WBC next spring~early summer 2026.

Earliest chance available might be IBF but given his height I'm not sure Crowder wants to aim for a belt with a rehydration limit.
