Funny most writers say the word upset when it involves a win of a Mexican or Hispanic when it really is not. Fundoraīs win over Tzyu was no upset, they are both good fighters. Some 1d1ots even said Andy Ruizīs win over Joshua was an upset when the real fans knew Ruiz was good.

And I'm sorry but Ruiz's win against Joshua was a big upset, again, look at the betting and conversations around the fight. That doesn't mean to say either Fundora or Ruiz aren't good fighters, but to simply say that at the time when you compared them to their opponents the most likely choice to win wasn't them. I loved it when Ruiz won btw and generally love my Mexican paisanos, unless they're arrogant idiots like Fundora and his dad.

It took a 12R back and forth with your opponent head split open and you having a busted nose to win a SPLIT decision, how the hell is that a "pretty easy" fight in any world?
Hell, even if your opponent didn't have a split head with blood fountaining, it was still a close fight and no where near pretty easy.

Lol, no way it was an easy fight. Tim could barely see with the amount of blood pouring down his face, yet up until that point, he was winning and despite the blood, made it competitive enough to have a close scorecard. The only thing I can see that will help Fundora this time around is that Tim took quite a beating vs Bakhram and it may have taken something out of him. Not sure he could go through hell again vs Fundora the way he did the first time around.
Though to Tim's point in another interview I watched with him, he basically said, he doesn't need to change much. He was winning up until the cut. As long as he doesn't get cut, he can probably win.

I picked Tszyu to win by KO in the middle rounds but I am a little concerned about that KO loss…Last edited by joe strong; 07-16-2025, 09:30 PM.
