Canelo moved up to 168lbs but doesn't actually want to fight any of the top contenders there because they're either too heavy, too tall or too good. He made a tactical step up to 168lbs when the division was in an all time weakened state. There is no way Canelo will fight Sheeraz, probably for the same reason he didn't want to go near Benavidez; too tall and too hard a puncher. Canelo's MO right now is to fight non threats whilst telling boxing fans he's the best fighter in the world.
