Again, it's like people see pressure and just stop paying attention to what lands.

I agree that their fights will be better in the second round.
A round is three minutes...if you just stop throwing, doing some holding, and the other guy is bulling and landing awkward stuff (not pretty stuff mind you), he makes his case as well.

Hell, Al Benstein NEVER argues about scores and he and Johnson went at it after nine. Again...just one of those fights.

Think of it this way...Dirrell showed in the first couple, and the surge in 10 and 11, what he could really do if he acted like a pro FIGHTER. This fight should scare him into it more often...the results could be great. If he gets the D Saturday, it encourages the God-awful style he showed in too many rounds.
press doenst dictate anything........most people are just holding the running against dirrell too much.......like i said i was turned off by the running as much as anyone.....but under boxing criteria, he shouldve won.......if dirrell had more status, everyone on the press would be saying he got robbed.....say, if his last name was mayweather or hopkins(runner-clincher)

        We'll just agree to disagree.

But it is weird how a lot of people predicted an ugly fight and that's exactly what we got.

Am I the only one who thought Froch was closer to Taylor on the cards at the time of the stoppage than he was to beating Dirrell? I never understood why people acted like Taylor was WAYY ahead of Froch at the time of the stoppage. He was definitely behind, but not by that much.

I had Froch down a point going into 12 against Taylor. He was eating Taylor up in the second half with body shots but Taylor was getting blown for spot flurries which half landed.

Mayweather doesn't run and fights nothing like Dirrell did. He circles and steps into hard shots. A guy like Floyd would have had Froch out of there. Hopkins...I had Calzaghe beating him and he lost to Taylor twice (though I had him winning and drawing)...that style gets punished sometimes. Better than the old days...dudes used to be refused pay when they fought like that.
