, Some of you need to learn what a robbery is this was a close fight the scores reflected that and it could have gone either way. Subriel earned that , he put on massive pressure for all 12 rounds and was effective w/ his aggression for the most part , he also worked the body . Puello landed his as well and did finish well , but he also held and clinched a bunch lead w/ his head and landed a lot of his own shots on subriels arms and gloves.

How did Matias apply massive pressure for all twelve rounds when he was dead tired and eating Everlast like Skittles after Round 7? Do you guys even read what you write?

And yet with even being dead tired he was moving forward the whole fight and still backing Puellos to the ropes . He also threw more punches than Puello in the 8th , 10th and 12th while still backing Puellos up I hate to break it to you but that is massive pressure for all 12 rounds . The only thing lacking here is you reading comprehension and understanding of the sport , there was no robbery.

Massive pressure doesn't equate to EFFECTIVE pressure. I know you Boricuas are hurting this weekend, but please don't try to even justify that disgusting robbery of Puello. Puello threw more, landed more, connected at a higher percentage and controlled the action totally in Rounds 8-12.
That was a fkn robbery. Don't stoop so low as to paint it as anything else. Turki jumped into the ring to announce his British fighter as next. That was no coincidence. He paid the judges to rob Puello so Dalton Smith can have a more favorable (and beatable) opponent on November 22nd. Everyone with eyes who is not Puerto Rican or British can see what happened.
Why would he care who wins when Smith was mando for winner and both Puello and Matias put up good performances. I don't think Matias is a easier opponent i think he wins Smith

Matias is basic, easy to counter and dies after Round 8.
Matias, Zepeda, Benavidez... These guys won't last much longer. The swarmers burn out fast. We saw the first inkling of that with Matias last night.
Whether they burn out quick or not, I don't know, but it makes for some action-packed fights. And it's one more style that adds color to the variety of boxing styles and interesting match-ups.
A beat B. B beat C. But we never know if A beats C, as long as there are different styles.
And if C is a pressure fighter, we know at least it won't be boring.
As much as Matias was one of my favorite fighters, he's definitely on the decline. Doesn't surprise me. His style is not meant to age well. He needs crazy stamina and endurance. The ability to grind down his opponent by taking his own fair amount of punishment in the process. It's Okay for a strong 20yr old, but not in your 30s and at 33, he's moving out of his prime years.
I didn't watch the fight as I missed the entire card due to having to be somewhere, but from what I read and heard, it was a close fight or Puello should have gotten the W. I think Subriel should of taken the L. It would of kept his 100% KO streak intact. Something not many other fighters can ever retire with when all is said and done.
