This is the problem that I have with these analysts doing commentary. They said that they "didn't score the fight, but said Khataev was robbed. Fans can be very impressionable and tend to be swayed by the analysis of those working these fights. I had Morrell coming back and winning by one point. I score fights. The fight was close and exciting. The decision could have gone either way. No one was robbed like the analysts would lead someone to believe.

Commentators were all outraged that Morrell won. To me it was a very closely fought competitive fight with both guys going back and forth having their moments and I did not think it would be a robbery if either guy won. Perhaps a draw would have been the fairest decision after a brutal fight like that.

Could have gone either way. Morrell looks amazing coming forward letting his hands go but average when he decides to just shell up eating punches on the guard. I think he needs a better coach to teach him how to slip punches behind the guard.

Morrell still needs lot work to become world championship level. Tends to eat too many punches for his own good.

Khattaev won this fight. He simply won the first 5 rounds. And with the knockdown, it is easily 95-94. F*** those judges.

Morrell is a great fighter who could be amazing. He needs maturing. I am going to rewatch and with the dust settled, I may see it differently, but hard to argue Khataev didn't deserve it.

Competitive fight but Khattaev won that hands down. Morrell escaped with a bs win.

More than anything Morrell seems to be mentally off. This was a very dangerous opponent. And his behavior was too strange. It was like because he went the distance with Benavidez, that he was supposed to automatically be given a victory without putting in the work. And then the skipping around the ring, talking to the audience, etc..was scary for his corner.
