He fought the fight of his career and won in my eyes. Morrell didn't look horrible or anything, just too cautious. He was able to finish rounds strongly, and he pretty much owned the last round, but Khataev had him confused often and that power put David on his backside. Not gonna write off Morrell just yet, it was a great fight, but he clearly (as did I) underestimated Imam.

I hope Khataev gets opportunities - and I hope he was clean after all.

If he's clean and has been consistently since popping (and I am STILL a little confused on that), I am all about second chances.

He is a beast for sure. Has power, chin and skill. Morrell was too cautious though. If he opened up more he would have likely stopped him. Still a dangerous fight for anyone in the division imo.
