I don't know about anyone else but I got dizzy trying to keep up with all of the stuff leading up to this point. The writer did a great job of researching the background information.
Badou Jack has got to be the weakest titleholder in boxing. Jake Paul actually just might want to make that fight happen. I’m not saying he would win, but you won’t get a much better opportunity than that.

To this point (not that I necessarily agree with the Badou part), I am genuinely surprised the WBC did not rank Jake Paul after his win over JCC Jr. From a business standpoint, a missed opportunity as this seemed like the logical - and easiest - fight to make IF Jake were to fight for a major title.

Thank you for this. Agreed, very dizzying and I almost hate rationalizing the moves that were made by explaining how we got here.

Agreed, I said the same in another thread. He was never gonna fight Gilberto Ramirez, that was just blowing smoke, but I genuinely thought he was angling towards a fight with Badou Jack with all the talk of fighting for a world title.
Forty-one years old, former super-middleweight, most people thought he lost his last fight and it's for the legitimate WBC title. There will never be a better opportunity for Jake Paul to become world champion. I'm honestly baffled as to why there's been no noise in that direction.

There is, Jake’s manager Nikisa said on Ariel Helwani’s show that Badou is who they want but he’s tied to the rematch so they can’t make that happen right now.

Further illustrates the absurdity of having all these belts.

I’d imagine it’ll be Tommy Fury next
Paul would presumably need to get ranked with the WBC first? Only the WBA have had the audacity to rank him thus far.
