Yes! That was a competitive fight! Serrano did well! Great win for Taylor and congratulations to her on defending the Lightweight Titles! -
LMFAO Alright, bro. You made me laugh out loud.
You roundys are something else. Haven't you ever heard the ring announcer , the guy with the hairy octopus on his head say , " FROM THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH TO THE FOUR CORNERS OF THIS RING RIGHT HERE , THE FIGHT STARTS NOOOOW " ? What more proof that the earth is flat do you need than that ?
I guess that you think that birds are real too ?

Just finished watching Morrell VS Khataev. This is the problem with the sport. Several analysts said, "I didn't score the fight", but I believe Khataev won. I watched and scored a close exciting fight. I had Morrell winning by one point. Yes, he got dropped and beat up at times, but IMHO he did enough to win. The fight could've gone either way, but to say that one got robbed, makes you wonder why some of these analysts are hired to work these fights...
And viewers can be very impressionable - agreeing with the analysts etc..Last edited by Lefty0616; 07-12-2025, 07:02 PM.Leave a comment:

Name calling doesn't get a response
You nincompoop.
Of course we’re not going to always agree. But the above fights you mentioned were all close and competitive with a primary ingredient NOT PRESENT last night. Actual, meaningful activity…
I score fights in my free time. I have 3 thick five star notebooks filled with me scoring rounds on various fights and me writing down who I gave them to and why.
I had the second Canelo-GGG bout a draw. I don’t have a problem with one or the other edging it out. It was close. But if you had to declare a winner mandatorily, I’d say Canelo did better.
I scored Ward-Kovalev 114-113 in Ward’s favor. Kovalev banked a ton of early rounds and scored the knockdown. I get it. Ward stormed back and beat Kovalev in the latter half. I think most people call it a robbery because they assume Kovalev swept every single round in the first half, which he most likely didn’t.
I’ve watched Leonard-Hagler more than half a dozen times. I always end up on Leonard because Hagler gave away the first 3 or 4 rounds trying to box. Leonard just out hustled him down the stretch. Close fight, though.
You went 0-3 assuming you had me as one of those “duurrrrr I’m outraged at the decision! It’s a travesty!” type individuals. No.
The term is overused nowadays because whenever a close decision is announced with more than just the hardcore watching, more people nowadays have their little sandboxes and are able to spew flimsy opinions.
Can I guess how YOU’VE scored fights since we’re now assuming how the other poster scored fights?
You probably had Casamayor beating Santa Cruz in 2007, Paul Williams beating Sergio Martinez 11-1 like the French judge, and while we’re at it…Hatton
should’ve been awarded a no contest against Pacquiao…because that wasn’t an arching left hook he got hit with. He actually slipped on the rockstar logo and just so happened that Pacquiao was trying to catch him at that moment and accidentally knocked him out.Leave a comment:

I score the fights that I watch. Do you? I watch everything. I'll be watching tonight's fights. Will you?
Amanda landed way more punches in the second fight, but she got countered something awful all night long. That's why I had her losing. Taylor hardly landed enough counter punches in fight three because that's all that she was looking to do - and she rarely attacked.
We're not always going to agree. I'm sure that you had Hagler beating Leonard, Kovalev beating Ward (1), and GGG beating Canelo (2).
But then again you probably never saw those fights. You wouldn't know a casual if your mom was milk feeding you while telling you she's a casual.

Perhaps, Serrano is just mentally, physically and emotionally drained and burned out at this point of her career. Which probably explains her uneven performance last night against Katie Taylor.
I can see her retiring soon. She has nothing left to prove. She's done it all. She has made her money now and left every single inch of her soul, body, mind and being inside of that boxing ring.
She can run off into the sunset now if she so chooses to do so. She's done her time and has paid the price. Judging by her performance; Obviously, this trilogy with Katie Taylor has aged her.
Both her stamina and hand to eye coordination (timing) were no longer the same in this last installment of her trilogy with Katie Taylor.Leave a comment:

Yeah , the atmosphere was incredible . Electric even , reminded me of the days when Tito fought at the Garden. The joint was rocking last night.Leave a comment:
