    Think I asked before but...

Have any of you ever met MUHAMMAD ALI and, if so, what was the experience like for you?

Oh man I wish, I remember about 12 years ago he was doing a fund raiser at mosque or something and I got the word like an hour late, and i rushed there, and he had just left. One of the saddest day of my life. I really want to meet him.

I ask because unlike many other athletes I am always happy to report that I have NEVER EVER heard even one person say they had a bad experience when meeting him (he ignored them, turned down an autograph request, etc)...or as one guy said in Ali's book, even red neck racist people would say after meeting him that they liked him and were impressed by him...

That's interesting seeing how he was considered one of the biggest headed athletes of all time. I will always be a huge Ali fan.

I have read many times where people met him and were surprised at how quiet and SHY he actually was when no cameras were around...

I never met Ali but my uncle did. Ali graduated from I think Central High School in Louisville, KY...same as my father. Ali came back to the school way back in the day and spoke.

As for my uncle Ali actually came to his house and stayed with him for the day and had dinner with him. My uncle had it on tape but either it was stolen or misplaced...

But my dad has seen him in person speaking before the school and my uncle had the man in his own house...I couldn't believe it...

I've met Evander, Winky, B-Hop, Berto and Lennox

Hey John, I know that this isn't on topic but i was wondering if you had any stories about Jirov? Ever met him, been in the gym with him, things you've heard other fighters say, things from the amateurs?

I was going to make a thread asking you this but i figured there is a better chance of you seeing it here.

I remember hearing you say you were at his fight vs Toney, i can't imagine seeing that live especially since it was such a small venue.
