Why Fury is using Usyk's name to promote himself

Fury came out of hiding this week to announce he has an April 2026 fight vs Usyk, while Usyk is 100 percent focused on final training for Dubois this month. Fury said if Dubois wins he would beat Dubois easy because his style is tailor made for him.

Several reasons why Fury made his phony announcement.

1 To promote himself by challenging Usyk. If Usyk loses to Dubois, Fury can say See I would have beaten Usyk worse than Dubois did. If Usyk wins and retires, as some speculate, Fury can claim Usyk ducked the third fight which nobody really wants to see.

2 Fury is using Usyk's name to duck Joshua, which is the natural fight right now that everyone still wants to see. The make or break fight for both. Joshua would be ready for Fury later this year but Fury does not want it. He never has shown any true eagerness to face AJ, just phony stunts and fake negotiations for image control.

3 Fury claims he wants three fights - Usyk, AJ and Dubois. But you'd have to be a fool to believe any plan Fury maps out at this point after all his BS. The real agenda more likely is Fury thinks AJ and Usyk are both about finished and he wants to take over HWT boxing with his buddy Turki promoting the Big Show for two or three more years, handpicking a bunch of set ups and patsies. It's very possible Fury can do this, he's the most popular and colorful Hulk Hogan figure in HWT boxing today. Dubois and all the rest are boring. Surely Turki could rig a sanctioning body to give one or two of the belts to Fury.

It appears the stage is being set to reinstall Fury as the Face of Boxing. Right now the face of boxing throne is vacant.

Fury will not face Dubois if he beats Usyk this month, you can be sure of that.

Fury's personality is on the Ali level. And who knows how great he could have been if he had the dedication and discipline of Hopkins, Jones, Holyfield, Hagler.

Can you provide the contradictory facts? The answer is no, and it's because we're not given the facts.

But there is a huge weight of evidence supporting Fury being a compulsive liar.

Tyson Fury is clearly trying to condition the masses, within the boxing community or more specifically his hardcore fans. And to his credit, this is one way to build narratives and themes in boxing. Tyson Fury's has always throughout his career, had this ability.

Note: So even if Tyson Fury's reasoning and angles which he is trying to construct are completely ridiculous 'Especially in regards to his two fights against Oleksandr Uysk I & II. People need to understand, that he is just trying to create a outside opportunity for him to fight Oleksandr Uysk III for the third time in a trilogy fight'.

To conclude: This is how I am decoding his behaviour, but? There is a possibility that he could be using Oleksandr Uysk's current prestige and standing in the game 'To deflect some of the pressure he is experiencing to fight Anthony Joshua i.e. It may look more brave challenging Oleksandr Uysk in comparison to Anthony Joshua, for the casual sports fans in the world'.

But in reality, many people within the boxing community are aware that stylistically Anthony Joshua has always been a very dangerous fight for Tyson Fury. Even Oleksandr Uysk himself believes that the matchup between those two heavyweight mountains is a 50/50 fight etc.
