Fury needs to stay retired. As you get older, your body no longer can do what your mind thinks it is capable of. In his second fight against Usyk, even after a long preparation, he did worse than in his first fight. His famous stamina and work rate were gone. Now that he has mentally retired, I am assuming he is massively indulging food and drinks. At his age, there is no coming back from that. Sure, he can earn a massive purse but he is getting knocked out for that money.

Hey, I'd rather a disgruntled fighter after a loss say, "Screw it, I'm retiring", than "My corner poisoned me, my opponent had loaded gloves or, I'm a victim of a conspiracy". Returning after saying the former is less shameful than returning after saying the latter BS.

I once read an academic paper called Conspiracy Theories are for Losers. 'Loser' was intended in the descriptive rather than pejorative sense and that definitely applies here.

I think that depends on one's perception vs knowing fact. For instance, maybe Fury believes he won the second fight vs Usyk, hence the conspiracy comments. Conversely, Wilder knows that Fury beat him in their second fight, but he insisted that Breland sold him out, poisoned him, his ring walk suit tired him out, and Fury's gloves were illegal.
