Comments Thread For: Jack Catterall subscribes to Andre Ward?s school of thought

Catterall's style is underappreciated even though he is defensively sound, has the ability to hurt opponents with both hands and is tremendously skilled.

I can't see Eubanks winning this he has a very herky herky anxious style of fighting, catterall should do a number on him

In this case, defensively sound is what Turki complains about. Defense to sleep by.

Which school of thought would that be? Elbows to the head or punches to the nuts?

Ward actually won at the top level. Jack was robbed once but you cant keep living off of that.

Never has there been such a more telling self-fulfilling prophecy in the world of boxing: "So boring I put another one to sleep".. Will never ever forget this intro before his fight against Barboza.

I think his loss vs Puello will age well, esp if Puello beats Mattias in a couple of weeks

I get that Ward is a top level fighter. Gold Olympic Medalist with a notable resume as a Pro and undefeated on paper. But I refuse to watch Catterall if he tries to replicate his style, low blows, headbutts and elbows.

Plus he wasn't as exciting to watch excluding when he fights top notable opponents, something that Bivol shares in common in that department.
