Your right , Madrimov is not quick but it wasn’t that that was bamboozling Bud
Madri’s style is what had Bud all messed up and a little harder to avoid
Madrimov has one of the most unusual styles of fighting
Canelo is your ordinary fighter counting on power and his chin for defence

I agree. Madrimov fought a very smart and intelligent fight. He played the role of counter by forcing Bud to lead.

However, I get the feeling that Canelo will attempt to overpower and overwhelm Crawford due to his superior power and size.

Which will leave him both open and vulnerable to Terence’s quicker counters.

Canelo doesn't want to risk losing to what is supposed to be the smaller guy and Bud will be up for this fight against the biggest legend he'll have on his resume. Bud is going to come to perform as he's out to prove a point. I just hope the Madrimov fight wasn't a clue as to where Bud's age is right now and more the lack of his motivation for Madrimov to take him serious enough.
Is there something that specifically shows that Bud didnt look good v Madrimov because he didnt "take him seriously"?

If not, I think that's wishful thinking and Madromiv simply confused him with movement, and Bud didn't like the heavier punches.

That's very possible. I'd have to rewatch the fight because it was a 1 and done for me, but I feel like Bud going from the mega match vs Spence, to a European dude didn't not bring the same level of training excitement as getting up for Spence. If he lacked the motivation and Madrimov was better than expected, then of course he wouldn't look good. Though it could be that, or also that he's simply getting older and maybe Spence was the last great performance he had in him.

We'll see. This is Canelo this time around and not Madrimov. Whatever Bud you're going to see will be the absolute best he can be for his age, that's guaranteed.

Without a doubt. If you can’t get motivated by the chance of being 3 time undisputed, I don’t know what will. Only one other boxer has achieved that, but I legitimately don’t know if we’ll see these sorts of circumstances in our lifetime (what with Dana White and Turki trying to form a league).

It’s going to be 10x harder to be THE guy across three weight classes when you don’t get to decide who to face and when to face them.

Alvarez is still human, Crawford's punches will hurt if he lands, but I don't think he be able to rock Canelo considering he has withstood bigger punchers than Crawford nor do I think Terrence be able capitalize on it if he managed to do so considering how risky a heavy handed counter can be.

People are comparing Canelo with Madrimov who has active footwork and darts out of danger (Madrimov is also quite a erratic fighter), but Alvarez is more like a bigger and more skilled Mean Machine Kavaliuskas that can cut the ring to make the ring smaller and limit his opponent's angle uses like Plant, Saunders and Charlo. Once Canelo catches him with a big shot, he be wilting Crawford down with low output power punches and catching him with right hands when Crawford tries lounging in. At least that's what I expect, Canelo won't commit to ending the fight, as he has stamina issues if he throw more than 10 punches per round.

I get Plant and Saunders aren't big punchers plus Charlo jumped 2 divisions, but their punching power overall isn't that inferior compared to a fighter who fought at 135-147 and their dimensions are quite bit longer in terms of height. As for Scull, I think Canelo was just scared on taking risks of closing in against a much rangier fighter while Canelo has stamina issues. He wanted to catch Scull in the offense to minimize risk and effort, but that never happened, so it ended up being a boring fight where Canelo just chased his opponent with both trying to pick accurate low output shots and avoid getting caught with something instead.

I read yesterday that Crawford said he currently weighs 155. He's a naturally smaller man than Canelo, who was reported to walk around at 175 when he was in his 20s. Terence is in trouble.

Do you honestly think that there is anything that Alvarez hasn't seen in terms of styles in all of these years?
