Andre Ward should have faced Stevenson.

GGG said anyone from 154 to 168 and was full of ****!

The first one Kovalev definitely won, you cannot score the fight to wars without giving him rounds he clearly lost.

The second fight, the cheating and stuff doesn't bother me so much, Kovalev should have hit him back low.

But yeah he should absolutely have a loss on his record.

If Ward was a Brit or east Euro, he would be called higly overrated, and he would have had 2 losses against Kovalev.

To be honest, he was a home decision man with very ugly style.

GGG wasn’t even a big MW. He’s also slow asf. Ward would win fairly comfortably imo.

Kovalev tanked the rematch. SO obvious. Remember, Kovalev took the rematch with his pay dependent on ticket sales, he had no base purse. Ward controlled the terms. The live gate bombed badly and so Kovalev was going to get paid peanuts. So there you have the motive to take the dive.

Ward was a pretty good fighter but with an awkward unappealing style. He didn't sell outside of his home city. Hence why he quit early, he had no drawing power or leverage and not much value as a boxing attraction. Golovkin was much more exciting and popular and his numbers much better.

Everyone from 154 to 168…and then when Andre Ward raised his hand suddenly they need a catchweight.

That’s when Ward started calling him Lil G.
