If Farmer is healthy and motivated, it could be a very interesting affair.

Id really like to see the Schofield Farmer fight and maybe the Ramirez bout but Im never going to chunk money down for PPV on it. Most of the rest of this weekends fights are too ****** to even be considered PPV.
OK you cant say $tup!d. Enough of the British? censorship, I'm probably out for good this time because of it.
Whats a better boxing site anyone can recommend? This censorship is beyond oppressive towards commenters. Boxingscene might as well be telling me to be silent unless Im permitted to talk exactly the way they allow, (but who knows what that might even be. Cant say ) very antagonistic towards posters. And its also censoring the ability to express non vulgar thoughts. So I will leave because I dont need to get bullied by Boxingscene. $tup!d A$$clown$

Did we ever get a straight answer about what happened with Schofield vs. Stevenson? Such a bizarre incident. Another fighter deathly afraid of losing that 0? Imagine it was his pop's messing up the payday.

Just had his dad jumping on social media talking about how they ‘poisoned his son’ when in reality guy obviously didn’t do the weight right and knew he wouldn’t be able to get it off in time. But kinda got forgotten because of Josh Padley stepping up like he did on 2 days notice and the story of that kind of took over. But yeah they was unprofessional as hell

I seem to remember at the time it was due to the fight and card being sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control who have slightly different rules regarding the weigh in than in the US and it caught the Schofields on the hop and there was too much weight to loose in too little time. Something to do with a preliminary weigh in. Dubois had already pulled out with a stomach bug type thing. My guess is the Schofields pretended it was also that to cover up what amounts to incompetence on their part. They were probably told to say that by the Sheik on the promise of inclusion on future cards.

Not sure what Schofields amatuer record is but I guess that’s part of what it gives you - travelling to other countries and fighting according to different boards rules.

I believe the BBBC do a preliminary weigh in days before the fight designed to ensure the fighter isn’t loosing a dangerous amount of weight to make the weigh in.
