Comments Thread For: Devin Haney turns his attention to Brian Norman Jnr

With unified welterweight champion Jaron ?Boots? Ennis moved on to the junior-middleweight division and Teofimo Lopez Jnr withdrawing from negotiations, Devin Haney and his manager-trainer father, Bill Haney, are now targeting WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jnr.

Seems the Haney team is very confident in his excellency Turki funding their fights. If that's the case the Norman team would want more than $3 million in this fight. It's business, not a sport.

Snake Oil Bill has done a great job guiding his feather-fisted son to purses he doesn't really deserve. If Lil Devin got on his bike against a shopworn Ramirez, what will happen the first time he tastes Norman's power?

I'd be shocked as Hell if Snake Oil Bill lets his son anywhere near a ring with Norman. Hitchins at 140 is a much safer opponent for Lil Devin than Norman at 147. Norman will end that kid's career in very violent fashion.

Bill Haney is so full of chit
I hope the fight gets signed and Devin gets ktfo by Norman
Norman and crew gotta make sure there’s a rehydration clause as we all know Devin likes to rehydrate 25 pounds in a night
        Karma is a biatch Devin
        Now man up

I don't think any US promoter is able to afford the kind of money these people, Norman and Haney, are expecting to be offered, Top Rank, PBC, GBP, BLK Prime, Triller, etc.

Turki is all they have depended on making these fights for them.

Well if their willing to pay him what he asked for the Boots fight ( $2.2 million ) that is not an extravagant amount of money
How much can the cheater Haney want ?
Not sure he’s in any position to demand top coin
Norman is the one with a belt

In the ring, Brian Norman Jr is kind of like an improved version of Ryan Garcia - Ryan 2.0. He has that crazy left hook, but he can also take a shot and he can fight for 3 minutes of every round because he is disciplined enough to train for a fight and get into a good condition. There is no way that Devin engages with a fighter like that. As in his last fight he will stink out the joint running for 36 minutes to stay out of harm's way. As much as I would like to see Devin knocked out, I can't see it. He no longer has the balls to engage with anyone. He will be on his bike for the rest of his career. Turki says he does not want Tom and Jerry fights any more. Let's see if he pays for this one because this will be exactly like that - cat chasing the mouse for 36 minutes and the mouse running for his dear life.

Would rather see Norman Jr. face Lopez.
