I think you guys are underrating Crawford...if anybody can do it it's HIM as he always seems to find a way to win. Obviously it all depends on how he handles Canelo's power but Canelo is not the fighter he once was plus he didn't look too great in his last fight either.

I attribute that more to Canelo’s opponent than Canelo himself. When the casual fan calls Mayweather a “runner”, this is what they think of. Yet he was never like that. Even Ivan Calderon (who was a frequent mover) stood and landed really eye catching shots when he was fighting back in his day. Scull did not do anything but backtrack the entire fight.

Also, although sometimes I manage to convince myself that Crawford has a great chance, the reality is that Crawford isn’t invincible. That fight with Porter was close up until the final stretch. I hope I’m wrong, I want to be wrong.

Canelo is slightly younger (though with considerable more mileage), more active, heavier, and has fought bigger punchers.

Crawford is a once a year fighter nearly at 40, moving up another two weight classes after only fighting once at 154 and he is much more hittable than Mayweather yet likes to engage more. That doesn’t bode well.

I admire his gumption, but damn I’d be lying if I said I felt Crawford has this in the bag.

I don't see this as a mismatch or an easy win for Canelo. Crawford is a very clever boxer. He has stamina, great determination and a winning mentality. He should also have hand and foot speed advantage over Canelo.

I'm inclined to agree as Crawford is probably one of the very FEW fighters on the planet who can beat Canelo at this stage of his career (5 years ago would've been a different story). However, you have to remember that this is for ALL the marbles as opposed to a single belt so if he has another close fight (like Madrimov), I don't think he'll get the decision. In other words, he has to beat him DECISIVELY in order to become undisputed champion and make history.

I'm with you, you know your boxing for sure. I'm a Nelo fan, and he hasn't look the same the past few years since the Caleb Plant fight. If he brings out that version it's an easy win for Canelo. I know Crawford is extremely and technically skilled, too, and I think Crawford could potentially beat him even if he's the huge underdog.

However, Crawford is an equivalent talent who's at the peak of his career. The ONLY thing that makes me lean slightly towards Canelo (bar the weight) is that he's undisputed champion and I doubt they'll give Crawford the decision if he has another close fight like Madrimov. He has to beat him convincingly.
