"BoxingScene Today" analyst Chris Algieri would liked to have seen Jaron Ennis unify at 147, but he also is excited to see the best version of "Boots" ? at junior middleweight.

Is Ennis really a legitimate star beyond Philly? I'm a fan, but I am not sure how he has a bigger profile than Ortiz. It would be good to back that kind of statement with some real numbers.
I will say this: We'll see soon enough if Ennis is as wonderful as some people make him out to be. I'm in the agnostic category of fan at the moment.
I like Ennis but I think that Ortiz beats him. They should have a tournament at 154. Instead of Super Six call it The Knockout Nine. There's a ton of good fights that can be made at the weight and nobody really head and shoulders above the rest of the field.
Physically, he seems more suited to 154/160 and he'll definitely face better fighters than Norman Jr, let's see how he does.
And people should always remember, if fighters continue to test themselves against good opposition, they will not always win - and some fighters' 0s are worth very little.
Ennis is definitely not the star Algieri makes him out to be. This said, he does have the goods, and could potentially become a superstar. I'm pretty sure he would beat pretty much everyone in the division fairly easily, except Ortiz (he would win, but it would be harder..). BUT he will need to ajust and boxe more intelligently.

Boots and Virgil have the same level of profile in America which is a low profile. Virgil's profile will not grow as long as he keeps fighting Euros in Saudi Arabia at 1pm and Boots profile will not grow if he stays with matchroom because nobody in America is paying 30 bucks a month plus PPV for DAZN. And I mean NOBODY!
Why Boots hasn't joined PBC is beyond ridiculous to me. Al Haymon has made successful PPV stars out of Mayweather, Wilder, Spence, Tank and now is trying to do it again with Benavidez. The stars are all aligned for this guy to be the next PPV P4P King for the next decade if he signs with Al. Staying with Matchroom / Dazn will be a disastrous mistake. America is not Eddie Hearn's territory and he doesn't have the connections like Al, Bob and Oscar have to succeed. It looks possible that in a few months there will be an announcement the PBC Top Rank and GBP will be teaming up on Amazon and ESPN. If Boots isn't part of that then his career will be a complete and utter failure!
And for those of you who say "well Hearn has Virgil on Dazn"....no OSCAR has Virgil on Dazn and lets not forget that Oscar is American PPV royalty so he would want Boots vs Virgil on the biggest American PPV platform there is so they can generate the biggest bag possible.
