Yes, there is no rehydration clause because that is standard, unless the A side(Canelo in this case) demands a rehydration clause. Bud hasn't demanded a rehydration clause nor has Canelo demanded NOT to have a rehydration clause. It's business as usual for a Vegas fight with the acceptation of Turki offering an incentive for the fighter who provides more entertainment or who throws more punches. That and possibly and 18X18 ring, but those are Turki's doings not Canelo's..Comment

Like I said before , Bud’s answer to that was no excuses

Only one of the commissions has a 10 pound max rehydration rule which gets nullified when the fight is a unification bout, which is why Boots was able to rehydrate 20 pounds on fight night against Stanionis. Can't remember if it is the WBA or IBF that has that rule..Comment

Well yeah, but what I'm saying is that a rehydration or a non rehydration clause was never proposed by either party. The poster that I replied to stated or implied that Canelo made it a point to make sure Bud couldn't demand one so he(Canelo) would have an advantage. That is not the case, neither Bud nor Canelo is trying to get a weight advantage, they are both going along with standard commission rules...

He's either making it up or getting his information from them YouTube channels that are always making stuff up. Having said that, I don't mind being corrected and can admit when I'm wrong, but I'll wait for him to provide credible sources to back up his claims....

Turki has made it clear what size the ring will be, nothing new to any of the fighters.
Can you provide a link that confirms that Bud was recently tested? No credible source, to my knowledge, has stated that tests for either fighter has begun.
As for a no re-hydration clause, no such clause has been requested. Bud hasn't nor can make any requests since he's the challenger. The contracts are signed, there have been no surprises to any of the teams.Last edited by factsarenice; 07-10-2025, 12:07 PM.Comment
