Nothing but great things in this kid's future. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, he's defensively responsible, he has technical ability, he has power, he has a good boxing IQ. Truly, the sky is the limit. I can easily see him as P4P #1 in a few years and I already have him #4 myself.

Jesse Rodriguez's resume (TBRB rankings used, secondary/interim belts ignored)
W vs #8 Carlos Cuadras UD 12 (former WBC 115)
    W vs #2 Srisaket Sor Rungvisai TKO 8 (former WBC 115; lineal/TBRB/Ring/WBC 115)
W vs #1 Sunny Edwards RTD 9 (reigning IBF 112)
    W vs #C Juan Francisco Estrada KO 7 (former WBA/WBO 112; WBA 115; reigning lineal/TBRB/Ring/WBC 115)
W vs #7 Pedro Guevara TKO 3 (former WBC 112)

    Other notable victories: Israel Gonzalez

    5-0 vs top 10
    3-0 vs top 5
    2-0 vs #1 or Champion
5-0 vs fighters that won a legitimate world title
    2-0 vs reigning world titlists
    1-0 in unification fights
    7-0 in world title fights
2-0 in lineal world championship fights
    21-0-0-0 overall record, 14 KOs

    1 division lineal world champion
    2 division world titlist

    112: IBF, WBO
115: WBC (1st reign); Lineal, TBRB, Ring, WBC (2nd reign)

    Next fight:
vs #2 Phumelele Cafu (reigning WBO 115)

blah blah. His resume is full of old men past their prime.. His best win vs a prime opponent Sunny Edwards evaporated after Sunny was destroyed by an 8-0 opponent in his next fight.. His next opponent has 11 fights. His resume is smoke and mirrors.

Sunny has a long career ahead of him, his team are doing a fine job with him.

He basically quit in his last fight and said he didn't want to be there.

You are the typical hater. Im sure Floy Mayweather and other runners are your preference. Thatīs OK, hate all you want but real fans know Bam is the real deal, jackazz.

As always the truth is somewhere in the middle - Sor Rungvisai and Estrada were definitely post prime and Cuadras was washed but they all came to fight and Bam destroyed them. You have to look at where the opponent was in his career and how they were beaten.
Nakatani is just 27 - a win over him would be a better boxing achievement imo than a win over Inoue who while still in his prime in June '25 may well be post-prime in late 2026 or 2027.
