It’s a bit of a stretch to claim a basic abbreviation is a racist term. There are nationalities the world over that get referred to using abbreviated terms. The Swedes, the Brits, the Scots etc etc etc.

The term itself isn’t racist. The perception that it is purely stretches back to the second world war and its use primarily in the USA. There were plenty of other genuinely racist terms used to refer to the Japanese at the time. Jap wasn’t one of them. It’s just an abbreviation. You can’t invent a racist term out of a plain abbreviation by claiming it is. Unless of course you’re a “******” - I think was the term used.

But yeah it’s a boxing forum so thus endeth the lesson.

Boots put it on his social media that he was going to 54.

I was expecting the ref to jump in and stop it. Sasaki was essentially out on his feet and absorbing too many hard and unanswered punches.
Also disappointed Sasaki's corner didn't end it.
Every time that he got hit he stumbled. The Referee was very brave...

I'm not a Boots defender but for people to say he ran to the killer packed 154 division because he's scared of Norman is comedy

                Norman impressed me.
Sasaki did have some success inside. But you cant throw those big haymakers vs a guy like Norman without setting them up. Thats exactly what Norman trained for. That little half step hook counter caught Sasaki every time.
Terrible game plan. Sasaki still would’ve lost, but at least he could have made it a bit more competitive.

Norman can take off a head, but Sasaki was more victim than threat. Who's next? Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi?
