You gotta agree with Eddie that the sport is full of vampires and leeches that want huge money they don't deserve. That's a given.

You also gotta admit Fast Eddie turned complete nobodies into somebodies. He failed in some and lost money. He sheltered Haney when everyone else rejected him. Bill begged Floyd to give Devin a shot at his TMT promotion. Floyd said no. PBC/Haymon said no.

The Haneys were grateful, justifiably so.

I must say this article has clarified some things for me. I could never understand why Liam Paro went to fight Richardson in his back yard when Liam was a brand new world champion and would have made a lot of money if the fight was staged in Australia. Now it seems that Eddie believed in Hitchins and invested in him heavily by "feeding" Paro to him. If the investment Eddie made in him is half true and it seems very likely it is, Richardson is very ungrateful.

It was a very poor form for him to disrespect Eddie like that so I assume he must have been really upset with Eddie for some reason. I am sure we will hear the other side of this story soon.

Hearn…”Managers have zero risk. They just let the promoter do all the work.”

Counter Point: Hearn has zero risk. He lets Turki Al-Sheikh do all the work.

          Sound familiar Eddie?

Hearn was doing good before Turki came along and dumped his vault into boxing...

Funny you say this when Eddie is one of those leeches.

How is anyone siding with Eddie here IF Hitchins s a free agent, how is anyone mad at him for just speaking a fact? Doesn't matter what matchroom has done for him. That Matchroom promoted him well and put money up for him, yeah that is the job of the promoter he is signed too why should they get credit for doing what they are suppose to. If he is a free agent, he is a free agent. Eddie then saying he spoke to Turki and he told him he will only deal with matchroom is crazy what a snake there are your vermin and leeches (IF its true hitchins is a free agent which looks like he is as Eddie didn't specfically deny he isn't)

I remember Cedric Kushner opining on how the business of boxing promotions was treacherous and vicious. Dana White said similar things as have many other seasoned event promoters who have ventured into the dangerous business of boxing.

Eddie isn't wrong in his assessment but he's just another thief lamenting that there is no honor among thieves after being victimized himself.

Puerto Rico isn't Hitchins' backyard. Hitchins was born in Brooklyn. His parents are from Haiti. Hitchins lives in Brooklyn and Hackensack, NJ. Everything else you said, I agree with.

And Eddie is one of the snakes, though a more likeable and loquacious snake than Bob, Al or Fishnets. Something obviously happened between Eddie and Hitchins' manager.
