Not getting younger or better, he is a gnat at 140. He'll always have the Teo win but probably time to hang em up.

Yep, and a gnat can only be annoying but never hurt anyone.
I hope George knows that's how it would be for him going forward, especially at 140.

I remember saying when he first moved up. Kambosos is food at 140. Too small, not enough pop and not technically gifted enough.

If he does retire, he will do so as a massive overachiever. Was essentially unheard of going into the Bey fight, pulled off two 50/50 wins over Bey and Selby then a huge upset over Teofimo.

I would say he overachieved even if he had lost to Lopez.

He is not a better fighter than Mickey Bey but he came to the US and beat him.
He is not a better fighter than Lee Selby but he came to the UK and beat him too (and I thought this one was a much, much clearer victory for Kambosos than the Bey fight).

The Lopez fight is almost unfathomable if you watched him against Bey, Selby, Haney, Lomachenko, Hughes, and Hitchins.

I respect him for walking away now. He could easily go back to lightweight and be a gatekeeper, or he could crush cans indefinitely back in Australia for paydays.

Kambosos too tough for his own good. Why take more punches if you can retire financially? Retire & train fighters--easier.

Kambosos should've quit while he was ahead and retired AFTER the second Haney fight whereas now his legacy will be that he got lucky against Lopez and then got his ass handed to him every time he stepped up after against Haney, Loma & Hitchins!

He made several million dollars fighting Lomachenko, Hughes, Padley, and Hitchins.

He already overachieved by beating Bey, Selby, and Lopez. Nothing that happens now can change his legacy because he already got ten times farther than a guy with his talent should have.

Some people say heart can only get you so far. Well heart got GKjr farther than most. Chasing and achieving greatness is a personal point of view. Everyone is going to have different opinions. If you can retire at 32 in good financial and physical shape then I'd say go for it. Either way he's earned it.

As Frank Sinatra once said . “I did it my way” . George definitely did his way . Kambosos continued to fight Guy’s who were always completely wrong Style Wise for him . But the Dream was always there. REMEMBER THE NEW KINGS well George fought more of them than the rest . Kambosos brought more Nutz than any of them . Will George fight Paro in a Aussie Stadium fight or Retire ??? One more is too much . Enjoy your retirement champ & God bless

Prior to the Lopez fight, I knew Kambosos' mostly as Manny's sparring partner. I think the chaos around the Two fight was the perfect storm to create the upset: the delays and drama with Triller winning the purse and the resulting promotion being awarded to Matchroom, Teo's emotional roller coaster and his throat issue, etc.

Kambosos seized his moment and milked it for every dollar and moment in the spotlight he could. The fact he was such a vulnerable named opponent meant the big names were willing to fight him (especially for some of that Australian money).

He's had his spotlight and cashed in on it. Time to ride off into the sunset and enjoy the fruits of his labors.

it is more up to the promoters and platforms as to if he will lay it down .......... if the money matches are there he will fight on for several more fights and i do believe they will put him out there as long as people rec his name and like him or hate him and he personally wants to go out on a high note not a blue note......

He already peaked 5 years ago and hes been getting hit more and more, only 32, now is a good time to retire and protect your health. He made enough that if he was investing that he will never have to work again.
