Keyshawn Davis ridiculed but David Benavidez given a pass? Losing Belts, 3lbs+ scale

Why is boxing culture attacking Keyshawn for losing his belt on the scale? David Benavidez was praised for coming in 3lbs over the scale and losing his belt, but nobody criticized his win nor was the fight cancelled. Scott Quigg came in 3lbs over the limit for Oscar Valdez.

I think we are being over critical towards Keyshawn Davis. Let’s not bring up a safety issues nor be hypocrites

when was he given a pass? Canelo fans still use it as justification for canelo ducking him even though 4 years passed and he didn't miss weight again

People WERE taking shots at Benavidez for losing his belt twice due to coke and due to missing weight.

Canelo has been ducking him for sure, but Canelo wouldn't have been able to duck him and still be undisputed if Benavidez had just held onto that WBC belt. He had two chances and he fumbled them both and that's why he never got the Canelo payday. After he lost the belt he had no leverage and Canelo wasn't gonna take the risk.

So Benavidez inarguably set his career back significantly with his immature shenanigans.

Davis did the same, except he also attacked his brother's opponent in his dressing room after the fight. That's completely unacceptable.

What does Canelo have to do with this? Did the Mexican lose a belt on the scale?

I forgot about the Albright incident because I felt that too was exaggerated and a smear campaign. I couldn’t find any video source of actual blows. Just a hallway altercation crowded by instigators

Mind showing where people actually "praised" Benavidez for coming in overweight? You're definitely full of **** on that. Keyshawn was the champion too, Quigg wasn't. Keyshawn is getting flack for it and rightfully so.

canelo was set on not fighting Benavidez, he could have hold all the belts and ginger would have created his own organization. Stop the bull that it is Benavidez fault, canelo is terrified of David.

Canelo before the Bivol fight and Canelo after the Bivol fight were two different beasts.

If Benavidez didn't get stripped twice for being a fat cokehead the Canelo fight would've happened. After Bivol beat the dog crap out of him Canelo became risk averse.

Canelo had no incentive to take the risk after he already had the WBC belt. Canelo wanted to be undisputed and he accomplished that, then he got a dose of reality against Bivol, and now he's just cashing checks until he retires.

But if he'd had to actually go through Benavidez to become undisputed I fully believe he'd have taken the fight. I think becoming undisputed was his Super Bowl, so to speak, and now he's just running out the clock.

Bivol didn’t beat the crap out of Canelo, but what he did do was show Canelo that he had nothin for Bivol and completely neutralized him. Beterbiev would’ve knocked Canelo out
