Yeah that’s not accurate. Canelo was never cleared by anyone, other than maybe his fans. He still served a suspension and the hair test didn’t prove anything. Canelo did that for public perception but the actual agency conducting the test put out a statement saying that hair tests aren’t reliable when testing for Clen, particularly in light cooored hair, and it doesn’t provide any definitive answer. The evidence points more towards Canelo being a cheater seeing how ggg insisted that Vada begin testing further out from a fight than usual because he had a strong belief Canelo was a cheater, so Vada tested Canelo earlier than he’s ever been tested (Feb for a May fight), for the first time they travelled to Mexico to test him rather than waiting until he got to the US, and he got popped. Doubtful that’s a coincidence.
But just to add onto that, all a hair follicle test showed was there was a low amount of Clen in his system that was detectable. Key word being "detectable".
We already knew this from the blood and urine tests. The hair test just further confirmed that we already knew from the positive drug tests.
That doesn't prove anything in regards to potential PED use from Canelo. It simply proves that their was a low amount in his system at the time of the test, which can be for a plethora of reasons.
It absolutely does not prove any kind of innocence.Comment

1.5 weight classes. 154lb and 168lb are bogus divisions created by sanctioning bodies to cream more fees.
Yeah man, only 'ardcores like you have worked it out and will stream it. Look, it's an event for people who enjoy boxing, are not broke and are happy with their lives. Miserable forum dwellers will obviously hate it, it's not their target audience.
3 weight class difference, it's not hard to understand.
That's like asking Tank to move up to 154 and fight someone like Bakhram Murtazaliev.Comment

I like Oscar and GBP, but what are you really saying regarding the promotions.
Haymon hijacked a good portion of GBP's fighters and the company has not been the same since (not the only reason). And all of a sudden, you are gushing about making calls with that same entity because you don't like Dana White?
While these guys weren't working with each other, a brand new sport emerged right along side all of this BS and is now potentially more popular than boxing in the US, in just 10 years. It really goes to show how much the people in boxing have F'd this up. So much food left on the table, so many untapped fans that could have been made.
I don't think it's too little too late, so hopefully we can get everyone on the same competitive page and get to making the fights.
The core problem in boxing is money and rules that DO NOT apply equally. The cop on the beat are the sanctioning bodies but they've proven to be corrupt cops, judges and jurymen open for business and never held to accountability. Can't stop the money but going after the sanctioning bodies is doable. Force them to either stick to hard set rules for everyone or cut them out of the big money fights. One by one start competing sanctioning bodies and bury the old guard in their own hypocritical BS. Get the journalists/ influences to either report with integrity or cut off their access. I know what you are thinking, all of this takes money and it does, but it's a lot cheaper then building an entirely new system from the ground up.
Boxing needs to have rules that apply to everyone equally.Comment
