Being unprofessional and losing your belt on the scale because you didn't even try to make weight is absolutely part of the sport and relevant to what happens in the ring. If you want to support unprofessional weight bullies, you do you. And if you want to support people who are thugs and criminals, again, you do you. But don't be surprised if other people don't want to. IMO a champion is supposed to be an example to aspire to. With the rewards comes the responsibility to live up to it. IIRC there's conduct requirements for belt holders with most of the alphabet organizations too, so it's still relevant.

It's still worth remembering that due to conduct rules, you can still be stripped of the belt for criminal conduct etc. As a champion, you are expected to set an example with your behavior inside and outside the ring both, and it's honestly rather disappointing to me that some fans don't even care whether their champions are decent human beings.

Theoretically speaking, sure there are 'loads' of reasons, but for me, not really that many that come up in real life. Theoretically, the owner of a business could publicly announce all profits are being directly given to a 5atanist cult that will use the funds to murder innocent women and children- then yes I would not support them. Though that doesnt happen- however, most people portray those who disagree with their political views in such a strawman light all the time (dems say this about reps and vice versa- but it isnt true).

But I don't think I need to think a little deeper on it, I have plenty of friends and family who act this way. Company that owns a shop openly supports political or social views that differ from mine...well they protest and don't shop there. Me, I'm fine, they are free to have different political views, doesn't make them the evil person I cited above (though we like to act that our political and social views are so correct that anyone who differs must be that wrong). I'll still buy my shirt there if I like the shirt.

But what if the owner of the company is an awful guy? Hey, I still buy hook-up baits and that dude did some messed up stuff. But what if he's a former criminal? Then he's paid his debt to society and its not my place to punish him further, thats what the courts are for. But what if he wasn't convicted? Once again, thats what the courts are for, I don't feel its my place.

I listen to bands who write songs that go against my beliefs, but they still are good songs. I watch movies with actors who espouse different ideals than I hold to, and sometimes mock mine- but they make good movies.

Not writing there isn't a line, just that the line is so far off havent seen it (ie the example at the start). I accept others can have different ideals and beliefs than me, and that doesnt make them by default wretched and evil to the point where I should protest patronizing their business. I think that belief is arrogant, and one of the several that permeates society today driving a wedge between us (heaven forbid someone feel the opposite of me).

But I'll write this, if there was an openly r@cist and b1goted doctor out there, but he could cure cancer. I'd make sure to take my sick grandparent to him- I guess many here wouldnt though, they may have more discernment in that way.
