I wonder how far can Wardley go with his style " I am blocking punches with my face".

He is next Joyce pretty much.

AJ's can't lose to the Uso's that's proven fact but let's be honest they can't really fight from those parts of the world so it's not a positive to AJ.

Huni just got polaxed by a white collar boxer for crying out loud.
The real fight for Aj is Kabayel/Parker rematch, though Huni is more Ajs level.

Exactly Wardley is barley better than Fisher in the mould of face first defence Brazeale.

Boxers' career nowadays have short life span. He's just beginning to get recognition and he's already hinting at retirement. Just retire man, no one is forcing you to stay.

We can all play that game - name Wardley's one punch knockouts that weren't against cans?

I like both fighters, Wardley always comes across as a decent fella. He's not the most polished fighter but he can throw heavy leather with the best of them.

While Huni was putting on a boxing clinic throughout the fight, there was always that feeling that Wardley could spark him at any moment (especially knowing how susceptible Huni's chin seemed in the Llerena fight). Sure enough, Wardley cracked that chin like he needed to.
The Wardley KO punch seemed to miss Huni's chin altogether and instead land square on the face and forehead, though. I thought Huni's prominent jaw and reputation for being chinny would be his downfall. He took Wardley's punches well up until that last one. Too bad his punching power doesn't match his boxing ability, otherwise he probably would have stopped Wardley.
Kudos to both fighters. They really brought it.

I wish nothing but Godspeed to Wardley but the bottom line is he cannot fight. He has a good chin and punching power and all but is lacking in fundamentals.

Shows you can get quite good at boxing fast with power and speed and athletiscm.
Fabios life might not be shortened but his fight career might be with wars. Max schmelling lived til 100 years, and jake lamotta til 95,which isn't too bad

Winning like this may be very painful and is taking years of his career. I believe Wardley is aware of that. He is cool dude, but he is really only poor man`s Joyce. This time the power shot bailed him out, but it will likely not happen often.

Well, Wardley is already making a big money and he is ranked top 10. 99% of boxers would kill for that career.

That’s true. But I think those guys are the exception and not the rule.
