Very fine fighter who could box with you, fight with you, punch, do everything. A great example of how records can be very deceptive. He had 35 fights and I don’t think he had one gimme! At British and European level he fought everyone at MW and SMW.

Someone said, expect a lot more comments because everyone in British boxing liked and respected the man. There are not many people that you can say that about!

I remember watching James title winning fights on TV back in the day , good classic boxer , funny story - years later I bumped into him at a boxing show in tooting, said hello to him and he mistakenly thought I was Ricky Hatton lol , true , rest in peace champ.
