This is so over-simplified it's ******. I don't mean any offense by that, but it's true. Dirrell needs to be commended for his counter-punching for starters. It was beautiful at times and it made Froch look very amateur. Great speed, slick footwork, and very elusive. If you appreciate the art of boxing you should be able to see Dirrell's good qualities and not boil it down to the point where he deserves no credit at all.

dirrell did outclass froch and made him look bad, however, when it's a title fight you're talking about - you have to fight. dirrell showcased tremendous moving ability, blazing speed and an impeccable defensive mechanism.

however, his lack of offense, repetitive clinching, complaining while clinching and poor defensive awareness when doing so - cost him the fight. not to mention the exaggerated overuse of continuous moving by actually running several times, made him look bad and end up costing him several rounds. experience and maturity will teach him how to fine tune and balance his technique so it's effective and just enough to earn a victory in future bouts.

Dirrell landed little. Froch out jabbed him, generalship. Dirrells jab was hardly a punch at all-- at least not a scoring shot.

you dont go to the champions backyard, hold all night, have a point deducted, and win a fight where a lot of the rounds are questionable/subjective in terms of what the judge is scoring for. No title/champ in neutral territory Dirrel probably would win that fight by a few rounds, but thats not boxing you got to convincingly beat a champ to take the title.

With all that you could tell the judges had a boxing fan mentality... such as...

Hey this guy is here to fight and this dude is just prancing about clinching every 5 second, you can score due to activity, ring genralship ect.. and thats what won Froch the rounds on.

Dirrell did a good job nullifing Froch's attacks, but turned it into a dirty fight by doing so.
              I like this.

                  I stop reading right there.

That is the point of this topic, Froch did nothing but come forward. Didn't land anything!!! Just came forward. That doesn't earn wins. Effective puches do(all landed by Dirrell by the way).

All his actions within the ring count, he was countering Froch and making him miss but at the same time making himself look bad by the constant negative antics.

This was proven because he clearly out pointed Froch but his other actions rubbed the shine off and gave Froch an openning to look half-decent even if they were back of the head shots.

I think Dirrell would of won in most people's eyes if he didn't constantly back-pedal and twist and turn around ect...

Dirrell was the better boxer that night (All the stuff you mentioned ect...), he just didn't show it enough to convince a Pro-Froch environment.
