  • Is Saul Still the Most Durable Fighter in Boxing Today

Saul legs didn’t go funny from any of the big ass bombs from ggg

was only wobbled once as a weight drained kid

    only Saul stamina is questionable

Bivol is the other candidate. Didn’t go down once across 24 rounds with Tiger Paw Artur

instances where Bivol legs went funny: overhand from Smith Jr in round 4, overhand from Smith Jr in round 10, and sometime during the first half of the rematch from an Artur right

aside from their great chins I don’t remember either being hurt to the body

Despite all the hype, Canelo has not really fought many punchers in his career apart from GGG. Who else? A shot kovalev who was pitty patting him?

On Paper, Mosley, Angulo, Kirkland and Callum Smith count as respectively big punchers in their divisions, except two out of four weren't exactly former or current champions. With three of the contenders being in the downslide.

Shane Mosley was already in the high end trail of his career at 40 years old and high milage of having 54 fights (46-7-1),

Alfredo although gave great effort against Erislandy Lara, as Angulo hurt him multiple times along with *****g him on the canvas in rounds 4 and 9. He got KO'd in the tenth round and was coming off a KO loss to Lara when he fought Alvarez.

Kirkland who is in Jail for two whole years and also had a questionable chin, as he had been starched inside a round by Nobuhiro Ishida. Who pretty much lost his every big fight.

Callum Smith is viewed a renown puncher, but at 168 he was a fighter that didn't like being pressured and gassed quickly. Smith quite struggled with John Ryder prior facing Canelo. In contrast at 175, he looks to be more active instead of picking his shots and does look like a top contender. Having wins over Mathieu Bauderlique and Joshua Buatsi. Think he was actually negatively impacted by cutting more weight than he needed to.

He fought Danny Jacobs too whose a pretty big puncher, but overall, I can't recall anyone that I personally felt was a threat to Canelo besides GGG. Overall, Canelo's career has mostly been meh once he hit super stardom. I think the last wow moment I have in the memory bank of Canelo was the way he obliterated Kirkland. That's about it...
