Force fighters to land at least 10 punches per round or face a point deduction. It will increase the amount of exchanges in fights with the negative fighter being punished for their choice of style

These promoters are so dumb, they sign runners like Haney and Shakur to huge deals. They need to sign big punchers.

I question whether turki is helping boxing. Why the hell did he pay haney 10 million dollars for this last fight? It makes him look like an idiot.

I tend to look at the Positive rather than the negative.

We're in the era of Naoya " The Monster Inoue ".

A generational talent and P4P great.

          Enjoy while he's here guys.

If one is running and the other keeps chasing, it's okay to safely say they're both one-dimensional. They're both boring to watch. One has no inside game and the other can't duke it out in the middle of the ring.

At least the chaser gives the impression that he wants to fight. He get a pass.

Too many fights look like scripted soft sparring business events to set up the next event. It's all about taking the path of least resistance, handpicking and then fighting in a manner nobody gets hurt. They all say the same scripted stuff. Nothing goes off script anymore. Never see big money fighters get shockingly upset, like Tarver KO Jones, Buster KO Mike, Rahman KO Lennox. It's like the system is milking us with phony stars and staged events. We want to see REAL fights. With tension, grudge, bad blood, mind games, drama. The best vs the best prime time. If they don't start giving us that the sport will die.

This is the outlook I've mostly chosen to take, and I find that I'm a happier fan because of it. If there's a card or match-up I don't care for, then I ignore it. There's a card on Wednesday that I want to watch.

Yes, yes, yes. I would also add considering to take points off for not throwing punches.

Part of the issue is that boxers are increasingly business-oriented, which dovetails with a safety first approach. But I would also add that folks nowadays do have a better understanding of the horrible impact that the sport has on the body and brain, which affects how people box. Even with Mexican boxers you are seeing less and less rock-em-and-sock-em types.

This is not going to change unless consumers completely revolt. I don't see it happening in the next couple of decades tho!

The 2 biggest weekends for boxing are Cinco and Diez y Seis, yet when's the last time Ginger had an exciting fight on those weekends? Shiiiiiiiiiiiit, count his December fights too! With that being said, those 2 dates, starting back with DLH were fun weekends and tended to be great fights. Mayweather fights were not anything to write about as he never pushed himself to make fun fights. Pac had some memorably fun fights.
